Leslye Barouch
Leslye M. Barouch, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully and in the manner that she would want to go at her own home. She was, without question, one beautiful lady always immaculately dressed in her skirts, shirts/sweaters, jewelry, matching shoes and purse. That is the way she was and the way she left this world. She waited to be appropriately dressed, leaving in her special new pink nightgown and matching socks that she received as a pre-Mother’s Day gift. Once she was dressed and her hair combed, she opened her beautiful blue eyes one last time, tried to speak (as if to tell everyone “goodbye”) and then took her last breath. She didn’t suffer but was just anxious to see Bob, her husband of 62 years who preceded her in death five years ago.
Leslye Ruth Martin was born in Mexia, Texas, to William Leslie (named after her father) and Estelle Evans Martin on Oct. 25,1922. She spent her early years being raised by her mom and grandmother in Waco, Texas, while her father made a living, ranching and raising Hereford cattle on his ranch in Bryan, Texas, and working in the Pennsylvania steel mills during the lean years of the depression. She had one sibling, her sister Dorothy Ann (Yowell) who was born on her birthday exactly three years later and preceded her in death in March 1991.

Katherina Kennedy, age 80, of Issaquah, passed away June 11, 2012, at Providence Marianwood.
Survivors include one son, Paul Kennedy; three daughters, Evelyn Johnson, Shirley Kennedy and Virginia Kennedy; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5207 Lake Alice Road, Fall City.

Anneliese Chamberlain
Anneliese H. Chamberlain, of Issaquah, passed away peacefully May 4, 2012, at home. She was 71 years of age.
Anneliese was born Feb. 14, 1941, in Hof, Germany, the daughter of Adolf and Christiane Hering. She was raised and graduated from high school in Hof.
She worked in sales for a large department store in Hof until 1964, when she married Douglas on June 18, 1964. They moved numerous times with his career in the United States Air Force. In 1980, he retired from the military and they moved to Issaquah.
Survivors include her loving husband Douglas; two sons Hans and James; daughter Vicki Patel; brother Adolf Hering; and five grandchildren.
Henry Rainier ‘Bob’ Schroeder

Henry Rainier “Bob” Schroeder, 67, of Issaquah, died peacefully May 4, 2012, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle after he succumbed to lung cancer.
Bob was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Daytona Beach, Fla., the son of Henry and Clara (Bray) Schroeder Skender. Bob graduated from East Lake High School in Atlanta and attended the University of Miami.
He married the love of his life, Toni (Aldredge) Schroeder, on Aug. 6, 1966.
Robert Allen Pusch

Robert Allen Pusch, of Issaquah, passed away peacefully in his sleep April 16.
Born Oct. 15, 1938, Robert was an avid fisherman who spent most summers on his father’s boat around Puget Sound.
In his youth, Robert worked at the Seattle Goodwill and most recently at the Issaquah Target.

Kathryn Mae Klein Long, of Kent, was born Sept. 14, 1919, in Chester, Vt., to Albert and Mae Oswald. She passed away April 29, 2012, at Valley Medical Center, Renton. Kathryn was 92 years old.
Kathryn was raised and attended high school in Great Falls, Mont. She moved from San Francisco to Seattle in 1942. She has been a resident of Kent for 20 years.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her first husband George F. Klein and later by her second husband John A. Long.
During her life, she had a variety of employment opportunities including working as the manager at Mannings Restaurant, a checker for T & R Grocery Store, a bookkeeper for Sweeney Real Estate and a listing agent for multiple real estate offices in Renton.
Kathryn enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening, but most of all she loved her family.

Betty Johnston
Betty L. Johnston was born in Missoula, Mont., to Ray and Margaret Fry on March 17, 1930. She died in Issaquah on April 25, 2012.
Betty attended public school in Missoula, Mont., and Washington Technical School in Kirkland.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ernest H. Johnston. She is survived by her sister Fran Coston; brother Ron Fry; daughter Brenda Corbett; son Steve Johnston and his wife Marianne Johnston; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty enjoyed working in the church, having family gatherings, rug braiding, reading and gardening.

Bonnie Eugene “Gene” Johnson Jr., of Issaquah, died March 29, 2012. He was 86.
A memorial service was April 15 at University House.
Gene was born July 5, 1925, in Santa Clara, Cuba, to Anna and Bonnie Sr. He was raised in New Orleans, and received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering at Tulane University.
He was a World War II United States Navy veteran.
He married Myrtle on May 5, 1956, in Seattle.
Gene is survived by his wife Myrt; sons Michael (Lisa and Riley), Craig (Carolyn) and Andrew Johnson (Nadia Patrone).

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother Doreen Bernert passed away April 1, 2012, in Apache-Junction, Ariz.
Doreen graduated from Issaquah High School in 1951. Doreen adored her family; she was a fabulous cook, an amazing painter and had many hobbies, including gardening and playing the organ. She spent the last 12 years in Arizona and Eastern Washington following the sun and golfing.
She was an amazing woman. She will always be remembered by her contagious laugh and kindness.
Doreen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence; children Thomas (Rita) and Diana (Richard Ohashi); 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Bertha; son Gary; and brother Eric Kamm.
A memorial service will be held at Willows Run Golf Course on Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
